These Terms and Conditions form the entire agreement between you (the "Hirer") and Bounce Party ("we," "us," or "our"). By booking or using our services, you agree to these terms. Any variations or exceptions must be confirmed in writing by Bounce Party.

By booking or paying, you confirm you have read and agree to these Terms and Conditions.

1. General Responsibilities

  • Bounce Party Responsibilities: We are responsible for delivering, setting up, and securing the equipment at the time of delivery.
  • Hirer Responsibilities: Once set up, the Hirer assumes full responsibility for the safe and appropriate use of all equipment. Follow all provided safety guidelines to prevent injury or damage.

2. Access Requirements

  • Minimum Access: A minimum width of 1.5m is required for standard equipment. Larger items may need wider access.
  • Stairs, Steps, Slopes: Notify us in advance if delivery involves stairs or slopes; additional staff may be needed at extra cost.
  • Refusal of Delivery: If access is unsafe or unsuitable upon arrival, delivery may be refused without refund.
  • Customer Disclosure: The Hirer must inform us of any challenging access points in advance to avoid disappointment on the event day.

3. Delivery and Collection

  • Delivery Window: Allow at least 2 hours before your event for delivery and setup. Deliveries may start as early as 7:00 AM.
  • Early Delivery/Late Pickup: At our discretion, equipment may be delivered on an earlier day or collected on a later day at no extra charge. We will notify you if this occurs.
  • Delays: Weather, traffic, or other unforeseen events may affect timing. We maintain contingency plans, but delays up to 120 minutes from the scheduled time are not refundable.
  • Special Timing Needs: For guaranteed delivery/collection times, choose our Premium Delivery Service (see Section 4).
  • Customer Presence: Someone 18+ must be present at delivery, especially for venues, parks, or community spaces.

4. Premium Delivery Service (Optional)

  • What’s Included: Guaranteed timing, on-site cleaning/drying, and dedicated staff and vehicle.
  • Pricing: $300 + GST (truck) plus $90 + GST per staff member.
  • Booking: Must be requested at least 72 hours before the event. Fees are non-refundable once confirmed.

5. Equipment Condition

  • Rental Standard: Equipment is maintained to a high rental standard but may show signs of previous use (e.g., scuffs, repairs).
  • Cleaning and Drying: During peak periods, some items may retain minor dampness or debris.
  • Enhanced Preparation: For spotless, guaranteed dry equipment, book the Premium Delivery Service or arrange early pickup.
  • Proactive Replacement: We assess all equipment before delivery. If an inflatable is deemed unsuitable for installation, we will make every reasonable effort to replace it with a similar or larger unit. If only a smaller unit is available, we will refund the price difference. No refund is given when replaced with a unit of the same size or larger.

6. Safety and Use Rules

Supervision is mandatory at all times. The Hirer must ensure:

  1. Shoes are removed before entering.
  2. Children 12 and under are supervised by an adult (18+).
  3. Deflate the castle during high winds (greater than 40 km/h).
  4. No climbing, hanging, animals, food, drink, smoking, or sharp objects on or near the equipment.
  5. Blowers and cords must remain dry.
  6. Immediately stop use if punctures, tears, or deflation occur.
  7. Do not move or relocate inflatables once secured.
  8. Damage or loss is the Hirer’s responsibility.

Recommended Capacity:

  • 3x3m: Max 8 children under 5
  • 4x4m: Max 10 children under 13
  • 5x5m: Max 10 adults
  • 6x6m: Max 15 adults

7. Power Requirements

  • The Hirer must provide a suitable power source and access for blowers.
  • We provide blowers and one heavy-duty extension cord. Additional surge protection is the Hirer’s responsibility.
  • We are not liable for failures caused by inadequate or faulty power supply.

8. Cancellations and Refunds

  • Standard Cancellations: Notify us at least 24 hours before the booking.
    • Saturday bookings: cancel before 4:00 PM Thursday.
    • Sunday bookings: cancel before 4:00 PM Friday.
  • Weather Cancellations: Only accepted for winds over 40 km/h, verified on site. One free postponement or credit offered. Full refund if the second date is also unsafe.
  • Day-of Cancellations: No refunds after 7:00 AM on the booking day, except for unsafe conditions verified by Bounce Party.
  • Entertainers: Cancellations within 14 days are charged in full.

Refund Method: Refunds or credits are processed at Bounce Party’s discretion. Delivery drivers cannot authorise refunds. All requests for refunds need to be sent via email to info@bounceparty.co.nz.

9. Force Majeure

Events outside our control (e.g., natural disasters, pandemics, road closures) may prevent delivery. In such cases, we will offer a credit or postponement.

10. Liability and Indemnity

  • Use of equipment is at the Hirer’s and participants’ risk.
  • Bounce Party is not liable for injury, property damage, or loss arising from use.
  • The Hirer agrees to indemnify Bounce Party against all claims arising from improper use or breach of these terms.

11. Bonds and Deposits

  • A bond may be required for certain equipment (e.g., Colour Bouncer).
  • Bonds are retained if equipment is returned wet, dirty, or damaged.

12. Other Conditions

  • Minimum age to hire is 18.
  • Prices and availability may change without notice.
  • We are not responsible for food used in concession equipment unless supplied by us.
  • All questions or issues must be reported promptly to 0800 547 626 before 5:00 PM on the day of hire.
